60 People Trapped For 3 Days with Oasis Cover Band
This is either a dream or a nightmare situation- there’s no middle ground. Over 60 people were trapped in a pub in Yorkshire, England after a snow storm made travel near impossible. And, depending on your viewpoint, it was either improved or worsened by the fact that among the trapped were the Oasis cover band Noasis.
Fans gathered last Friday to see Noasis at the Tan Hill Inn. However, by the time the group had finished Not Looking Back in Anger, the ability to get into your car and drive real far was greatly hampered by a Force of Nature- a snow storm. (Up to three feet in some areas.) So, all these Morning Glories hunkered down for the night, hoping for a new Story come morning. However, Saturday found them no closer to Letting It Out, so they spend another night. And another. Finally, by Monday morning they were Definitely (Maybe) ready to head home and Sleep Tonight. D’ya Know What We Mean? Three days later, It Was Getting Better (Man!!) but there were definitely a few Girl(s) in Dirty Shirt(s).
Several parents who were Married With Children among the group were able to head home thanks to local residents with snow-equipped vehicles so they could take care of their Angel Child. For the rest, it was sing-alongs, pub trivia, Passing Down the Wine and screenings of Mama Mia! and Grease. There was no permanent damage, no extra curricular activities in bushes, everyone just Soldiered On.
So, all’s well that ends well and, for Noasis, tonight, the next night and the one after that, they were Rock n’ Roll Stars.
