9 Month Cruise About to Set Sail
In case you’ve ever been on a cruise ship or, hell, just watching Titanic and thought, “I wish I could spend more time in these cramped quarters.” Well, this is your lucky day.
Royal Caribbean has announced a 274 day cruise, set to head out to sea December 2023. It will be making stops in Italy, Japan, Egypt and Russia, though not necessarily in that order. Proof of vaccination will be required for all adults, though children under 12 get to skate on that requirement. Of course, if you are taking a child under the age of 12 on a 9-month cruise, your decision making is clearly compromised.
What will happen on a nine month cruise? Will the passengers rise up and take over the ship? Will Isaac help a love-lorn passenger find their soul mate? Will anyone die? What about free ice cream? Is it free for the whole 9 months? How long into the cruise before the cruise director runs out of games to play? How long can someone fake an interest in playing shuffleboard?
All of these questions will be answered at some point, so, we volunteer as tribute, to ride along and report back on all of the goings on on the lido deck.
It’s just nine months in very tightly packed quarters as we slowly make our way out from under the cloud of a global pandemic- what could possibly go wrong?
