Fruitcake Makers Turn To Fruitcake Tossers

We love synergy. And, while we are pretty sure this connection didn’t happen because they met up in line to use the bathroom at the Why? Holiday Party, we can’t be blamed for wanting to take some of the credit.

For the first time, Collin Street Bakery teamed up with the folks in Maniotu Springs, Colorado to be the presenting sponsor of the town’s 25th annual fruit cake toss. (The toss happened this past weekend. Were we upset to miss it? Of course we were.)

Astute listeners will remember we talked with Hayden Crawford from Collin Street in episode 53 and Jenna from the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce Special Events Coordinator in episode 61.

Of course, tossing fruitcake is the perfect Covid-era sport, since you need to be a ways away from each other to toss.
