Wilbur of Rabbit Hatch, KY Elected Mayor, Named “Good Boy”

The votes in the small hamlet of Rabbit Hatch, KY have been counted and the new mayor is a French bulldog named Wilbur. The town has never elected a human mayor and the unbroken rule of canines has run back into the 1990s. The town is made up of only 500 people. The outgoing mayor is a pitbull named Brynn.

Wilbur’s owner, Amy Noland, says the mayor-elect is relaxed and ready to assume office. “He’s done a lot of interviews locally,” she said, “he’s had a lot of pets, a lot of belly scratches and a lot of ear rubs.”
