Dog Years Aren’t As Long As We Thought- Breeds Furious

So, apparently, one in a dog’s life isn’t 7 years in a human’s life. A new study in the Cell Systems journal says that the math is off and, while it’s easier while explaining the ages of your fur babies at cocktail parties, it’s just not right.

So what is the right metric? Well, it’s difficult to say with certainty. Scientists say a one-year old dog is akin to a 30 year-old human and a 4 year-old dog is the equivalent of a 52 year-old. Which explains why dogs love watching Matlock re-runs so much.
