Louisiana Police Enforce Curfew and… The Purge?

Desperate times call for desperate measures. The Governor of Louisiana has called for the drastic measure of a curfew to help keep citizens safe.

How do you let people know such a curfew is in place? Well, why not have the police drive around with a siren-like noise to let people know? Good idea, but it needs to sound different than a typical police siren… what to use? How about the siren noise from The Purge? You mean the movie franchise that posits the idea that for one night a year murder is legal? Perfect, to your cars!

Obviously, some folks were a little worried that they were not just quarantined, but also lambs waiting for the slaughter. The police apologized and said they will use a different sound tonight. Yeah, we’re disappointed too.
