World’s Largest Firework Record Set

It took them seven years, but the town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado now holds the world record for the world’s largest firework.

The 2,800 roman candle went off Saturday, February 8th as the town celebrated the close of it’s annual winter festival.

Last year’s attempt didn’t get off the ground… literally. The firework exploded inside the mortar. The entire team re-dedicated themselves to the effort and this year found success.

Congratulations to all of those involved. Can’t wait to see what their celebration party looks like.
