Church Unveils Jesus That Kinda Looks Like Phil Collins

Parishioners at La Epifanía del Señor church in Zacatecas, Mexico may want to start describing their relationship with Jesus as “a groovy kind of love.” The church just unveiled their new statue of Jesus that looks kinda like… Phil Collins?

Sculpted by Mexican artist, the former Genesis frontman weighs 2,000 pounds and… sorry, the sculpture of the former Genesis frontman is almost 22 feet tall and… sorry. You know what, every time you read “Phil Collins” just replace it with the name “Jesus.”

Phil is 22 feet tall and weighs 2,000 pounds so there’s going to be a struggle if you try to take him home. You’ll notice that in this church, no jacket is required and feel free to use a pew to pray- you can’t hurry love.

Maybe you don’t care anymore, but the church thinks that they may also have a world record on their hands, as, according to the good book, (no, not that one) the largest Jesus statue is 16 feet tall. This particular statue of Phil has 6 feet on him. But can either statue dance? But seriously… Something must’ve happened on the way to heaven.

We’ve yet to see a response from the church, but likely they’re considering it just another day in paradise.
