The Why-back Machine- Episode 03 Raccoon Enthusiast Nina Kircher

As the calendar turns to another page, what better way to say goodbye to 2019 than to revisit our talk with Nina Kircher. (Providing you’ve already listened to our talk with Pete Seeger’s friend Paul Suchow.)

Nina is the wacky next door neighbor you never knew you had. And Nigel is a raccoon. Put them both together and, not only is it love at first sight, it’s a conversation rife with raccoon calls, questions about raccoon names and video footage of Nigel washing dishes. This is, somehow, one of our most popular episodes. We’re crediting Nigel.

We learned a lot this year, starting with the fact that Nigel is a girl. It went down hill from there. 2020 can’t come soon enough.
